SYNOPSIS:
Tuna, Texas, the third-smallest town in the state, is the Christmastime setting for this satire packed full of chaos and dysfunction, along with plenty of merriment and Texas-sized cheer. With exaggerated characters and situations, spoofs on Southern customs and culture overflow as the Yuletide activities dominate daily life in this little hamlet. For 14 years straight, Vera Carp has won the town’s annual Christmas Yard Display Contest, now a mysterious Christmas Phantom known for vandalizing lawn decorations threatens to create mayhem on this intense competition. Listeners to OKKK radio station intently keep up to date on news, gossip, and holiday events by tuning in to the big personalities of newscasters Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie.
